meet megan

Megan graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2010 with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy and was a recipient of the Manitoba Physiotherapy Association’s Joan K. Edwards Award for early contribution to the profession. Megan has a passion for promoting women’s health throughout the lifespan and aims to motivate productive change through lifestyle and movement.

  • Megan believes in creating individualized and creative treatment programs throughout the teenage, pre/postnatal, and peri/post-menopausal spectrum. She has certifications in Female Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy, Paediatric Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Functional Dry Needling, Mastitis Care, and Rock Taping.

  • Megan’s movement joy includes ringette, outdoor running, and golf. She is kept busy with her husband Jordan and chasing after her two children, Fio and Demi.

 
 

meet karina

Karina graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2010 with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy. She has spent her career working with a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and concerns from sport related issues, everyday aches, to longer standing pain and limitations.

  • Patient education and exploring pain free ways to move play a crucial role in the way she approaches treatment. Each joint is one piece of a larger picture which Karina always considers when assessing and treating. She has completed post-graduate certifications in Acupuncture, NeuroKinetic Therapy, Anatomy in Motion and other functional based movement approaches.

  • Karina grew up playing hockey, ringette and soccer. If not running after her son Cole, Karina still enjoys getting in a quick round of golf with her husband. She also loves bringing out her creative side in cooking with family and friends.

 
 

meet Jennifer

Jennifer Graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2013 and went on to complete her Master’s of Physical Therapy in 2016. Her practice is mainly focused on women’s health and pelvic floor physiotherapy, but she also enjoys treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries.

  • She has a strong appreciation for the complexity of the human body and how every individual component is a piece of a larger whole. This is the main focus of how Jennifer assesses and treats, along with a passion for teaching those around her how to use individualized movement strategies to overcome or prevent injury. She has completed many post graduate certifications, including multiple Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor related courses, Integrated Dry Needling, Acupuncture, Neurokinetic Therapy, and SFMA.

  • Jennifer grew up as a competitive dancer, as well as playing various sports, which led her to her love of human movement. She now spends her time staying active through running and strength training, and loves to chase her two boys and travel with her husband.

 

meet MADDY

Maddy graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2020 with a Master’s in Physical Therapy (MPT). Since then, she has built a diverse practice, working with a range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Maddy is particularly passionate about managing symptoms of hip and knee osteoarthritis, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, concussions, as well as vestibular and neurological conditions.

  • Maddy’s treatment philosophy is centered around helping her patients get back to doing what they love. Maddy takes an individualized, evidence-based approach to create tailored treatment programs that empower her patients to stay active and feel their best. She has earned post-graduate certifications in acupuncture, managing TMJ conditions, vestibular & concussion rehabilitation, and continues to enhance her skills through ongoing professional development. Maddy is actively involved in the physiotherapy community, currently serving as Chair of the Manitoba Physiotherapy Association’s Professional Development Committee, as a member of the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba Legislative Committee and as a Clinical Instructor for MPT students.

  • Outside of her practice, Maddy is a firm believer in staying active and continuously challenging herself. Whether it’s playing hockey or volleyball, strength training, roller skating, or venturing into new activities, she embraces a lifestyle of growth and self-discovery. In her personal time, you can often find Maddy going for walks with her husband and their cat, Jimmy, or unwinding at her family cabin in northern Manitoba—a peaceful retreat that fuels her creativity and focus.

 
 

meet leila

Leila graduated with honours from Robertson College Massage Therapy program in 2017. She works with a variety of injuries and pain related to sports, work, overuse, and provides pre/post-natal care.

  • Her goal as a massage therapist is to get patients to a pain free state whether their lifestyle is being in motion or sedentary. Leila incorporates techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue work in her treatments. She is also trained in cupping therapy.

  • Leila grew up as a dancer. Now she enjoys Peloton workouts to bring movement into her everyday life. During her free time, she enjoys going on outdoor adventures with her husband and their dogs, Oscar, Luna and Rusty.

 
 

meet Alanna

Alanna graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in Athletic Therapy in 2014. She went on to receive a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2016. She works with both musculoskeletal injuries as well as pelvic health physiotherapy treatment. Alanna especially enjoys working with postpartum athletes as they transition back to higher levels of activity.

  • Her treatment philosophy is to help people navigate the physical, emotional and social effects of injury and enable them to feel confident and become independent in their rehabilitation. She values building meaningful relationships with her patients and providing a safe environment for them to share their experiences.

    Alanna has received additional post-graduate certification in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy and is currently in the process of completing her Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

  • Alanna loves to spend time outside with her family going for morning walks with coffee, bike rides through the neighbourhood and wading pool dates with her daughter. She also competes in Olympic weightlifting and looks forward to her postpartum return to competition. Alanna also works as a peer support counselor for families dealing with pregnancy and infant loss and is actively involved with this population.

 
 

meet sarah

Sarah graduated from Sheridan College with an Honours Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences-Athletic Therapy Degree in 2012. Sarah treats a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries ranging from all ages and levels of ailment.

  • Sarah’s practice has developed into a hands-on focused approach when it comes to treatment. Performing a comprehensive assessment to ensure her patients understand all aspects of their injury, along with working together with her patients to personalize their rehabilitation journey.

    Sarah’s passion for learning has led her to take many postgraduate courses such as Long-Haul Covid Outpatient Rehabilitation, myofascial cupping massage, mulligan concept mobilizations, and external approaches to pelvic health for assisting with return to fitness postpartum.

  • Growing up in Kenora, Sarah often spends time outdoors. She plays both soccer and hockey, passing along her passion for sports to her children and continues to be taught a few things about hockey from her husband. You can often find Sarah running in the Sage Creek area. Check out the run club and join her!

 
 

meet Karen

Karen graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2016 with a Bachelor of Physical Education. She went on to Robertson College and graduated from the Massage Therapy program in 2022. She treats a wide range of ages, starting as young as 6 weeks with certification in infant massage.

  • The importance of massage therapy for injury prevention and rehabilitation is a strong pillar of Karen’s treatment beliefs. Her passion for helping others led her to becoming a Registered Massage Therapist. She has continued her studies and is a Certified Infant Massage Teacher and a Certified Paediatric Massage Therapist through the Liddle Kidz Foundation.

  • Karen grew up playing volleyball and running long distance track. You can still find her running outside as well as biking, soaking up the Manitoba summers.

 
 

meet ALYSSA

Alyssa is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from Evolve College of Massage Therapy in June 2024. She is excited to start her new career and is currently accepting new clients!

  • Alyssa likes to incorporate Swedish massage, myofascial techniques, and trigger point release techniques into her treatments. The goal of her treatments is to reduce pain, maintain mobility and promote physical wellbeing.

    Alyssa wanted to pursue a profession that kept her active and incorporated movement. She loves helping individuals reach their goals and found that Massage therapy is a perfect combination of helping improve people’s lives while staying active.

  • Outside of work Alyssa enjoys playing sports, spending time outside, and going to the lake with her family.
